The Experience: Your group safari kicks off with a morning pick-up from your Arusha accommodation between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM. After a brief briefing from your expert guide, your group drives directly to Tarangire National Park. As soon as you enter the gates, you are surrounded by giant baobab trees and sprawling plains. Your guide will track large prides of lions, leopards, herds of zebras, wildebeests, and towering giraffes making their way down to the water holes. You will enjoy a packed lunch at a scenic picnic spot overlooking the Tarangire River. In the late afternoon, you will head to your budget campsite near Mto wa Mbu, where your safari chef will greet the group with hot tea, coffee, and fresh snacks, followed by a delicious multi-course dinner around the camp table.

The Experience: Wake up early to the sounds of local birdlife and enjoy a fresh camp breakfast paired with local Tanzanian coffee. Packing up camp, your group takes a short drive to Lake Manyara National Park. The park starts with an immersive, groundwater jungle forest where thousands of olive baboons, blue monkeys, and hornbills thrive. As you break through the forest, you emerge onto the wide shores of the alkaline lake, blanketed by a pink sea of lesser flamingos, pelicans, and storks. You will search the acacia woodlands for tree-climbing lions, wallowing hippos, and large buffalo herds. After a picnic lunch surrounded by nature, your group enjoys a final afternoon game drive before climbing the escarpment and heading back to Arusha, arriving around 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM for your drop-offs.

• The Vehicles: Travel in a sturdy, 4x4 open-roof Safari Land Cruiser. We strictly limit groups to 6 guests per vehicle to ensure everyone gets a clear window seat and plenty of room to stand up and take photos through the pop-up roof.
• The Camping Style: This is classic ground camping. Heavy-duty, waterproof canvas dome tents are shared between two travelers. Solo travelers of the same gender are paired together naturally, or you can request a private single tent upgrade for an extra fee. Thick foam sleeping mattresses and pillows are provided.
• The Facilities: Public campsites feature clean, shared western-style flushing toilets, washing basins, and communal shower blocks (water is generally cold, though some campsites offer lukewarm options).
• The Food: No basic camp rations here! A dedicated safari chef travels with your group to prepare fresh breakfasts, assemble packed picnic lunch boxes, and cook hot dinners featuring pasta, rice, meats, fresh local vegetables, and seasonal fruits.
